Beginning in 2019, Headfirst Honor Roll Camps is partnering with Triple Crown Sports and the Zoom Into June tournament and the Zoom Into June All-Academic Games. This partnership between Headfirst and Triple Crown creates and increases opportunities for high school softball players looking to pursue their dream of playing in college by extending their game play in front of the nation’s top academic softball programs.
“We are excited about the partnership with Headfirst Honor Roll Camps because it enhances the experience for the high academic players,” says Krista Crawford, Fastpitch Event Director at Triple Crown Sports. “Participating in the All Academic Games at Zoom Into June and the Honor Roll Camps following that showcase will arguably be the best recruiting opportunity in one weekend for any player seeking a high academic university. This partnership made a lot of sense for Triple Crown Sports because we care about kids finding the right fit for their athletic and academic careers. Headfirst is a top notch organization and we look forward to a long term partnership with them.”
“This partnership can really deliver opportunities to these high-academic student-athletes by extending their exposure and interaction with these coaches. Players that attend both events (Zoom Into June & Headfirst Honor Roll West) will not only have extra days in front of their target schools, but they’ll also have the opportunity to showcase their play in a variety of different contexts – from tournament game play to skills showcase and then showcase games,” says Max McKenna, Senior Manager of Honor Roll Camps.
With the Headfirst West camps strategically scheduled right after Zoom Into June, players will have the opportunity to follow up with coaches that they meet at Zoom Into June and directly engage with them at Headfirst.
Says Senior Manager at Headfirst Matt Sternberg: “Another important piece of this partnership is the delivery of players’ data to coaches. Not only will they have an extended period of play in front of these coaches, the coaches will have in front of them all the necessary data to follow and recruit these student-athletes over the course of all three events. When coaches go to Zoom Into June tournament games, they’ll also have a list in front of them of those players who they’ll see again at Honor Roll in just a few days – and they’ll have all the academic and contact information necessary to effectively recruit them.”
