At Headfirst Honor Roll Camps, we’re committed to our mission of putting student-athletes like you in the best possible position to succeed, and to achieve your goals of pursuing both softball and academics at the highest level in college. For the past 20 years, this has meant optimizing our programming to allow for maximum action, fine-tuning our teams and capacities to guarantee the most playing time and curating our coach lists to provide you direct access to the nation’s top schools. As of this summer, it also means delivering video of your highlights at Headfirst to all the programs that attend our events.
New this year, we’re partnering with NextPro to film all Headfirst game action, tag it to each individual player and deliver it to coaches. Did you hit that gapper while Coach Wood from Harvard was talking to another student-athlete? Great – she’ll get that clip in her inbox to review later. Every at bat and every pitch of camp not only recorded, but tagged directly to the pitcher and hitter involved. Coaches can simply click your name in the database to pull up all of your camp highlights. We’ve written before about how the recruiting and crosschecking practices generally work at high-academic schools – but now, by delivering video to the entire coaching staff immediately after camp, we offer the opportunity to expedite this process by putting your recorded camp performance in front of the whole staff. When a coach sees you at Headfirst and circles your name, they no longer must wait weeks or months to see you at the next showcase or tournament – they can simply play the video of your performance for the staff, and put your name on the board.
At Headfirst, you not only have the opportunity to meet coaches from your dream schools face-to-face, but to put your video highlights on their screen and your name on their recruiting board. We’re excited for the opportunity that this provides to our student-athletes, and we look forward to continued innovation in what it means to deliver the best high-academic showcase in the country.
This is how easy it is for coaches to find and watch your video:
