Northeastern comes into the series fresh off a 9-8 comeback victory over Hartford on Wednesday, in which Honor Roll alumni LHP Andrew Misaiszek picked up his fourth save of the season. This continued a standout 2019 campaign for Misaiszek, who has yet to allow a run in 6 appearances while striking out 13 over 9 innings. The Huskies have also received bullpen support from fellow HRC alumni RHP Brian Rodriguez and RHP Josh Winkler. Rodriguez earned the victory in the team’s first win of the season, tossing 4 scoreless innings at Houston Baptist. Winkler currently leads the team with 10 appearances in 15 games, scattering 4 earned runs over 12.1 innings.
Holy Cross looks to bounce back from a tough schedule to open the 2019 season, including road games against Baylor and nationally ranked #13 LSU. As they return east for the remainder of their schedule, the Crusaders will look for Honor Roll alumni Declan Cronin to finish his senior season on a high note. Cronin made 12 starts in 2018, finishing second on the team in wins (4) and strikeouts (67). Fellow Honor Roll alumni RHP/INF Garret Keough has been a bright spot out of the bullpen for Holy Cross this year, posting a 3.86 ERA in 5 appearances. At the plate, Honor Roll alumni C Riley Livingston looks to build off his sophomore season in which he appeared in 39 games, as he’s currently tied for the team lead in RBIs.
Our prediction: Northeastern defends their home field, taking 3 out of 4 against Holy Cross.

These teams square off as part of their spring trips to Lexington, South Carolina. Case Western and Roger Williams have already completed their series, splitting their four games.
Trinity enters play with a 2-0 record, including an opening day victory over nationally ranked #12 Southern Maine. The Bantams’ offense has scored 17 runs through the first two games and has been led by Honor Roll alumni 1B Johnny Stamatis. One of three captains for Trinity, Stamatis went 3 for 6 in the first two games, scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 more on his way to earning NESCAC Player of the Week. On the mound, Honor Roll alumni RHP Max Barsamian pitched 1.2 innings in relief to earn the victory in Trinity’s last game – a 12-7 win over MIT.
Case Western has won 6 of their last 9 games and will face Western New England before facing Trinity on Sunday. A pair of Honor Roll alumni have been key contributors on the mound during the Spartans’ recent streak – RHP Willem Bouma and RHP Matt Levine. The duo combined for 38.1 innings in 7 appearances, picking up 3 wins while only yielding 4 earned runs. At the plate, Honor Roll alumni OF Samuel Neal is off to a strong start in his junior year, leading the team with 3 HRs and tied for the team lead with 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
Roger Williams will face Oswego State before squaring off against Trinity on Saturday. Their 2019 roster has two Honor Roll alumni in the bullpen – sophomore RHPs Chris Crawford and Ethan Klein. Both pitchers showed signs of promise during their first year with the Hawks, combining for 10 strikeouts in 15.1 innings over 12 appearances.
Our prediction: Trinity splits their games, falling to Case Western but rebounding to win against Roger Williams.
